1. Determine the “Battles” that are Important to You
At the end of the day it’s nearly impossible to avoid all toxins, so choose the battles that are most important to you based on your own convictions, desires, & budget, and start there. This is going to look different for everyone, and that’s okay.
2. Use What You Have Then Slowly Replace
It’s easy to feel like you need to replace everything immediately, but give yourself permission to use up what you already have (no matter how “toxic” it may be), and slowly replace as needed.
Laundry Detergent

Cleaning Spray/Wipes
Deodorant
Lotion

3. Replace Plastics that Come Directly in Contact with Food
Choose 1-2 things a months and slowly replace.
Cutting Boards
Tupperware
Cups / Water Bottles
Sandwich / Plastic Bags
Plates / Bowls
Mixing Bowls
Cooking Utensils
Measuring Cups / Spoons

4. Lastly, Replace “Luxuries” Not Needed on a Daily Basis
Determine what are necessities, and what are luxuries - save these for last.
Candles / Home Scents
Perfume
Toys
Self Tanner
Nail Polish
Drinks (other than water)
Remember, take it slow. For reusables, replace as they run out. For non-reusables, choose 1-2 items a month. Some of these items may not be a battle you wish to choose, and that’s okay!
